Corporate Social Responsibility

Put your CSR behind the people holding families together

India’s family caregivers are an unpaid, untrained and largely uncounted workforce — and they are the backbone of long-term care for elders and the chronically ill. Caregivers Asha Society turns CSR funding into training, technology and community support that reaches them directly, with the documentation your compliance team needs at every stage.

Eligibility

Where our work sits under Schedule VII

Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 requires CSR spending to fall within Schedule VII. Our programmes map onto three of its entries, which means a single partnership can be booked cleanly against the activity that fits your CSR policy best.

i

Promoting health care, including preventive health care

Caregiver skills that prevent avoidable harm at home — falls, pressure sores, medication error, dehydration, delayed emergency response — and that protect the caregiver’s own physical and mental health.

CareAsha App · Home-Based Family Caregiver Training · Caregiver support circles

ii

Promoting education and employment-enhancing vocational skills

Structured, certified vocational training in long-term care, delivered bilingually with skill-based assessment — building an employable care workforce, and sensitising school and college students to ageing and care.

ACMERI–ASHA Care Skill Institute · Training of Trainers · Future Caregivers Initiative

iii

Facilities for senior citizens and reducing inequalities

Day-to-day support for older people and the families caring for them, including elders trained and certified to support other elders in their own community.

Elders Care Elders · Community Care Support Persons · Community outreach

Where the money goes

What a CSR partnership can fund

Each of these can be funded as a standalone project with its own budget, timeline and reporting — or combined into a multi-year programme.

Training

Training of Trainers

Certify community health workers and care professionals as trainers, who then go on to train caregivers in their own districts. The compounding route: one trainer reaches many families.

Track record: 200+ trainers certified across India, Nepal and Indonesia

Youth

Future Caregivers Initiative

Sensitisation sessions in schools and colleges on ageing, chronic illness, empathy and care — reaching students before caregiving arrives unannounced in their own families.

Track record: 1,000+ students sensitised across Rajasthan

Community

Elders Care Elders

Older people trained and certified as Community Care Support Persons — turning experience into a recognised contribution and reducing isolation on both sides of the relationship.

Track record: 200+ elders certified

Digital

CareAsha App

An AI-enabled, multilingual platform putting caregiving guidance, health tracking and peer support in a caregiver’s hand at the moment they need it. Free to the user; funding covers development and support.

Suits: technology-sector CSR and product-engineering volunteering

Institutional

ACMERI–ASHA Care Skill Institute

The teaching backbone: bilingual, assessment-based instruction in dementia care, mobility support and emergency response, built with academic and clinical partners.

Suits: multi-year skilling commitments and infrastructure grants

Employee engagement

Your people, not only your budget

Medical, technical, educational and creative volunteering; caregiver-awareness sessions for your own staff, many of whom are quietly caregivers themselves.

Pairs with: any of the programmes above

Compliance

Built for your compliance team

CSR money carries obligations in both directions. Here is what we provide, and what we will need from you.

  • Registration and eligibility documents supplied up front, before any funds move
  • A written project proposal with defined scope, budget, milestones and timeline
  • A CSR agreement setting out deliverables, reporting cadence and fund-utilisation terms
  • 80G receipts issued for eligible contributions
  • Periodic progress reports with programme data and photographic documentation
  • An annual utilisation certificate covering funds received and spent
  • Documentation formatted to support your CSR-2 filing and board disclosures
  • Site visits and programme observation welcomed at any point

How it works

From first call to first report

Step 01

Conversation

Tell us your CSR focus area, budget range and the outcomes your board cares about. We will be candid about what we can and cannot deliver.

Step 02

Proposal

A written project proposal with scope, budget, milestones, timeline and the Schedule VII entry it maps to — alongside the compliance pack.

Step 03

Agreement & delivery

A signed CSR agreement, funds released against milestones, and the programme runs. Your team is welcome to observe or take part.

Step 04

Reporting

Progress reports through the cycle, then an annual utilisation certificate and impact summary you can put in front of your board.

Let’s talk about your CSR cycle

Whether you are scoping next year’s budget or need to commit funds before the financial year closes, we can move at your pace. Tell us the focus area and the number, and we will come back with a proposal.
