WHO Civil Society Commission — Steering Committee Member 2025–27
Dr. Arvind Mathur represents Caregivers Asha Society on the WHO Civil Society Commission — one of a small number of organisations globally selected for their contribution to health equity, community care and the recognition of unpaid caregivers. CAS carries India's caregiving story to the world stage.

Leadership in Indian Geriatrics
Our founder is a founding member and past President of the Indian Academy of Geriatrics, Editor of its journal, and helped shape India's National Programme for the Health Care of the Elderly.

What’s next
The road ahead
India still lacks a national caregiver policy. The CareAsha App is still reaching its first million users. The ToT network is still expanding across South Asia. Six years of evidence has given us the credibility and the roadmap — now we scale.
The next phase of CAS work is about depth and breadth in equal measure: more caregivers reached, more trainers enabled, more policy conversations where India's caregivers are finally in the room.
